Mission Statement
The mission of GDF is to promote the health and well-being of Georgia citizens through nutrition education by supporting the education and professional development of dietetic and other health care professionals.

Special Thanks & Recognition
The Georgia Dietetic Foundation (GDF) would like to extend a big "THANK YOU" to the Nestle Professional team for providing the food for our GDF Dinner. They highlighted their Fit Harvest program which is a "better for you" quarterly recipe development program that focuses on full plates of restaurant quality food and fabulous flavors under 450 calories or less. There was much excitement centered around the menu that was put together and they received multiple requests that evening for more information on the program and recipes. The evening was topped off with a CEU presentation by Sharon Davidson R.D., the Director of Healthcare- Nestle Professional, focused on 2011 Food Trends and how they apply to our current generations and aging population. If you are interested in learning more about Fit Harvest, the presentation topic or receiving some of the recipes you tasted that evening, visit the following link for more information: www.nestleprofessional.com/fitharvest . The money that was raised from this dinner will be used to provide scholarships to students and professional developments stipends for dietitians. We thank all of you who were able to attend this fun evening! Click here for recipe

"I am so grateful to have been awarded the GDF scholarship for my graduate degree in the Coordinated Program in Nutrition at Georgia State University. I intend to obtain my PhD upon completion of my masters program; any financial assistance I receive along the way is truly meaningful and appreciated. Additionally, receiving this scholarship further drives my motivation to do my absolute best in my rotations, classes, and laboratory research. Thank you again for your help and support in my educational endeavors! ~Nicole Dingels, Coordinated Program, Georgia State University (pictured)
Recei
ving the Georgia Dietetic Foundation scholarship has helped alleviate some of the financial strain that comes with being a college stude nt. Going to school full time and only being able to work part time left me with an extremely tight budget. Upon receiving this award, I was able to set aside some worry and put more energy and focus into schoolwork. I am much appreciative
of this scholarship and look forward to the future and wherever dietetics may take me!" ~Brittany Linton, Didactic Programs in Dietetics, Georgia State University (pictured)
