District dietetic associations are regional affiliates of the GDA located throughout the state of Georgia. As with the GDA, only members of the ADA may be official members of the affiliated district dietetic associations. In order to become a registered dietitian (RD), you must meet the following academic and professional requirements:

- Pass a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
